Today, JR Automation is a world-wide systems integrator and
technology innovator.
Founded in 1980 by Ken Assink, JR Automation has designed and built the right
solutions to fit customers' needs for decades. Our innovative solutions and
strong reputation caught the attention of investors, and Ken sold JR Automation
to Huizenga Group in 1995.
For the next 20 years, we invested in cutting-edge technology, cementing our
leadership in factory automation and system integration. We added facilities in
Michigan and South Carolina, became ISO certified, and developed the business
unit structure that would come to define our current culture.
After selling to Crestview Partners in 2015, we adopted lean management
principles, enhanced program management, and developed more scalable processes.
In 2017, we grew through strategic acquisitions across North America, Europe,
and Asia.
Our acquisition by Hitachi, Ltd. in 2019 set the stage for us to
grow and accomplish even more for our customers. It paired our global strengths
in robotic system integration with Hitachi’s deep skill sets in artificial intelligence
and IoT technologies for manufacturing.
We took the next step in 2021 when we merged our JR Automation
family of companies into a single global-caliber automation provider that
offers more innovative solutions and areas of expertise than any other company.
We can provide our global customers with seamless solutions, connecting the
entire value chain with data to achieve total optimization.
With 27 manufacturing facilities and over 2,000 dedicated
teammates across the globe, we continue to grow and evolve to help our
customers succeed!
