Hitachi Ltd. (TSE: 6501, "Hitachi") has completed the acquisition of MA micro automation GmbH ("MA micro automation", headquartered in St. Leon-Rot, Germany), a leading provider of robotic and automation technology. JR Automation is pleased to announce the opening of its newly built, state-of-the-art facility in Lake Orion, Michigan. With over 227,500 sq. ft. of manufacturing space, the new facility will become the company’s primary location within the Metro Detroit area for large automation projects; consolidating the previously leased facilities in Pontiac, Shelby Township, and Sterling Heights. Located at 1427 Brown Rd., JR Automation’s newest location is less than a half mile east of its existing 1000 Brown Rd. facility, which will now focus on smaller footprint automation projects while also expanding its machine shop capabilities.
